The story

The problem

Generating one good page is easy now. Generating forty pages where the rabbit is still the same rabbit, then laying them out for print, is not. And a long run of paid model calls that fails halfway has to fail cleanly.

The idea

Make the character a saved object, and make every generation a job with state. Authors reuse the cast from book to book, and the system can retry, resume and account for credits without losing work.

The result

Tomeza is live for web and mobile. These are captures of its website, which uses sample paintings made for the site. The six interiors are real output from the app’s typesetter.
